Simulation of thin-wall beam



I implemented simulation of thin-wall beam.

The technical detail is explained (in Japanese) in my web page.

The following picture shows non-stationary analysis of falling of thin cantilever beam under the gravity.

In the middle picture, bending stiffness of the beam is 1/10 of top one. And in the bottom one, the bending stiffness is 1/100.

Interactive flow visualization with real-time advection simulation

I implemented real time advection simulation using "Image Based Flow Visualization".




First I showed the real-time simulation result with FEM mesh. And then I visualize it with advection simulation. User can edit the source of smoke.

Interaction can be a great help for understanding complicated structure of flow.

Image Based Visualization of Flow


I implemented one of Siggraph 2002 paper about flow visualization

This method utilize texture for advection and blend of pattern. The computation is very fast because every thing is done in the GPU.
